Also helps you absorb Accutane (makes the treatment more effective). Take it about 10 minutes prior to Accutane. I like patients to take this twice a day.
Acne
CeraVe Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser | Acne Treatment Face Wash with 4% Benzoyl Peroxide, Hyaluronic Acid, and Niacinamide | Cream to Foam Formula | 5 Oz – Lower strength (3-5%) best for use on the face. Use once daily in the morning.
PanOxyl Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10%, 5.5 Oz – Higher strength (10%) best for use over the chest and back – studies show that higher strength performs better over the chest/back. Use once daily in the shower. Let sit 1-2 mins then rinse thoroughly. Don’t Scrub!
Acne Treatment Differin Gel, 30 Day Supply, FSA HSA Approved Retinoid Treatment for Face with 0.1% Adapalene, FSA HSA Eligible, Gentle Skin Care for Acne Prone Sensitive Skin, 15g Tube – Retinoid, typically used before bedtime. Use sparingly, one pea-sized amount for entire face! Can use over the back and chest but obviously requires more product (still use a thin amount).
Seborrheic Dermatitis / Dandruff
DermaHarmony 5% Sulfur and 2% Salicylic Acid Liquid Castile Soap (4 Fl Oz Bottle) – Great for facial seborrheic dermatitis – use 1-2 times per day. Let sit for 1-2 mins then rinse thoroughly.
Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, Basic, Fresh, 7 Fl Oz – Usually the most effect anti-dandruff shampoo on the market that is over the counter. Can be used on the face as well.
True+real Therapeutic Plus Tar Gel Dandruff Shampoo, 16 Fluid Ounce – Less than Neutrogena – but the same stuff. Its tar so it doesn’t smell great but it can really work. Helps with flakes/scale and itch. Let it sit for 3-5 minutes. You can use a better smelling shampoo afterwards if your scalp isn’t to dry or irritated.
Excessive Sweating
Certain Dri Prescription Strength Clinical Antiperspirant Deodorant for Men and Women (1pk), 72 Hour Protection from Excessive Sweating, Doctor Recommended Hyperhidrosis Treatment, 1.2 fl oz roll-on – Good to try to start with – dry the affected area and try this at night. Wipe off excess in the morning with a moist towel. Could be used over hands, feet, groin, etc.
Carpe Antiperspirant Hand Lotion, A dermatologist-recommended, non-irritating, smooth lotion that helps stops hand sweat, Great for hyperhidrosis – good for use on the hands but could be used anywhere. A little less irritating than the roll on above.
